Comfort Food

I was reading something this morning that reminded me of my mom.

My mom would have agreed. When it came to food mom believed it was never too early for dessert or too late for breakfast.

I always had homemade porridge in the morning, she made the best.

But mom would never say no to a piece of left over pie it there happened to be one.

And occasionally oatmeal or pancakes was a favourite comfort food supper.

My mom the rebel.

She taught me well.
